The Lily
Our Business, is a recruitment firm that aims to be unique, it is built on over 25 years experience in the UK market, but has its roots entwined in Indian heritage.
The business is named after the Shirui Lily, one of the rarest flowers in the world. Unique in that it only grows in the upper reaches of the Shirui hill ranges in the Ukhrul district of Manipur. The site is located 83km east of the capital city Imphal, in North East India, at an elevation of 2,590 metres above sea level. Close to the boundary of Myanmar to the east, the mountainous region is inhabited by numerous indigenous hill tribe people.
Only discovered in 1946 by the English botanist and explorer Frank Kingdom-Ward, (the Lilium Mackliniae) Shirui Lily, named after his wife, won the prestigious merit award at the Chelsea Flower show in 1948, organised by the Royal Horticultural Society.

The rare bell-shaped flower with bluish pink petals has a lot of mythology surrounding its origin, it even has medicinal properties. It is now celebrated in the annual Shirui Lily Festival which raises awareness of its significance and need for its conservation. The flower has been recognised at national level. The Indian postal service commemorated the Lily with a postal stamp in the millennium year.
The flower is also associated with kindness, protection, prosperity and a happy life. Its intrinsic beauty and yearly bloom give optimism for the future.
Our Company believes in family values, the Shirui Lily symbolises the ancestral homeland of one of our founders. Indeed, the Lily is the state flower of Manipur.
We aim to draw synergy and inspiration from this unique flower.
Experience Uniqueness.
